From gourmet blends to off-menu specialities, to beer pairings, NY Burger Week will pay tribute to the world’s greatest sandwich, the Hamburger. Each restaurateur and Chef will be preparing a unique event that pays tribute to the Burger in their own way.
THE CONQUEST

All good things must come to an end but the finale of NY Burger Week will leave you begging for more. On Tuesday, May 7, NY Burger Week culminates at the Alewife in Long Island City, Queens, for a world-class Beer and Burger pairing dinner brought to you by Get Real Presents. Chefs Travis and Gregorio have put together a menu featuring 5 different gastronomic Burger expeditions from 5 different meats—each of expertly paired with a top-rated craft Beer by the Alewife’s Beer sommelier, Patrick Donagher.

1. “Get Him to the Greek”
– Burger Ground Lamb, Tzatziki,Hummus, Red Onions

2. Jaegershnitzel Burger
– Ground Veal, Red Cabbage, Hunter Sauce

3.Twisted Sister Burger aka Dee Snider Burger

THE BURGER
Seriously, this event defined home run. From service to Beers to Food to presentation, the Alewife and their Chefs put on a top notch dining experience. Every dish was fantastic, all the Beers were great and the pairings were spot on. As each Burger hit the table, Chefs Travis & Gregorio stepped out from the kitchen to explain a little about the reason for making the Burger, it’s origin and the pairing. This was definitely a heightened experience of what regularly happens at the Alewife. Each dish was diverse, unique and most certainly very, very delicious. The crowd fave was The “Quack Attack,” a Duck Burger topped with Duck and more Duck. The flavor profile was amazing. No two Burgers were even remotely alike. These two Chefs could not have presented a more diverse representation of 1 Sandwich.
If you were one of the lucky few who attended this event, Thank you. I know you thought the Food was as amazing as I did. To the Chefs at the Alewife, wow! I think you are two of the best Chefs out there and you certainly proved it to everyone who ate these Burgers. To Patrick, Roz and the rest of the Alewife, thank you for letting me bring NY Burger Week to you and for hosting the most unique event of the entire series.
